The theme of EC23 is "Takumi ~ Made for His Purpose."
"Takumi" is generally used to refer to the topmost creator of a work of art. Takumi is the name given to the "only one" who can come up with ideas and designs that no one else can come up with.
If you were asked, "What is the purpose of your life?", what would you say?
The Bible says that we are created with a purpose.
Just as a work of art is designed to serve a purpose, everything that exists has a creator, and the answer to the question, "What is the purpose of this work? ", can only be found in the creator.
In our relationships, we observe each other, calculate the distance between us, and live our lives acting out who we want to be and who we think we should be. What kind of self are you trying to present to others? What kind of person are you trying to be right now?
The world back home may not be the same as how you expect it to be. You may be cut off from your fellow Christians, encounter difficulties, and you may even feel separated from Jesus at times. We may repeat the same mistakes.
The life that Christ invites us to live is a life of walking with God, who never lets go of our hands, no matter what. We are also blessed by a community designed by a master (God) where we can support and encourage each other as friends who stand on the foundation of Christ, even in the midst of our difficulties.
Through EC23, we hope to learn more about God, the "Takumi," who designed the purpose of our lives and turns our hearts to His thoughts and desires.
I look forward to meeting you all.
